We’re right in the middle of a wonderful mountain summer, and the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, with their Action Mountain Penken and Leisure Mountain Ahorn, have numerous unforgettable mountain experiences on offer that will make the rest of the season an absolute highlight.

 

One event for the entire family is surely the LIFE RADIO SUMMER TOUR on 10 August 2019 on Leisure Mountain Ahorn that includes cool games and all sorts of action!

FILZENKOGEL
- Summit Experience -

Our new hiking trail to the Filzenkogel offers summiteers big and small the opportunity to to add their names to the summit register while enjoying a great view of the Zillertal Alps. The hike up the Filzenkogel and back takes about 2 hours.

WATER OASES
- on Mount Ahorn -

The Leisure Trail Ahorn, which is suitable for baby-buggies, leads past Lake Ahornsee and Ahornbachl Stream.

 

These refreshing water oases offer lots of opportunities to play, rest, and relax.

CABLE CAR GUIDED TOURS

You have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the Ahornbahn and Penkenbahn. You’ll learn all about the technology and the work that goes into operating a cable car.

  • Ahornbahn: every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
  • 3S Penkenbahn: every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.

Tickets for our cable car guided tours are available at all Mayrhofner Bergbahnen cash desks.

ROCK CLIMBING ON MOUNT PENKEN

Ready to get your adrenalin pumping? If so, then head on over to the Climbing Area Knorren where you’ll find the “Knorren Nadel” and “Steinbock” via ferratas.

You can rent via ferrata sets at the Funsportstation (for a fee and subject to availability), but you should bring along your own courage.

Tip: Secure one of the highly coveted places for the culinary events of the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen!

SUNSET BBQ
- Barbecue evening on Mount Ahorn -

Every Friday from mid-June to mid-August, the Ahornbahn takes you up to the Café-Bistro Kunstraum, where you’ll enjoy fantastic views, as well as a hearty buffet from the grill and a sweet dessert.

SUNRISE BREAKFAST
- Breakfast at 2,000 meters above sea level -

Between 5:00 and 6:00 a.m., the Ahornbahn takes early birds up to the Ahorn Plateau, where they can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and a hearty mountain breakfast at the Café-Bistro Kunstraum. There’s no better way for true mountain lovers to start their day!
